First Timers

Purple Tags And Orientation
The first time you attend SABER, you are given a purple ribbon to attach to your name tag and constantly declare that you are total SABER noob. This year there were many SABER noobs and all of us noobs were corralled into a room for orientation where we reviewed the itinerary for the meeting. Thankfully if you were a texting noob, snoozing noob or otherwise distracted noob, the itinerary was printed and included amongst the conference handouts. Each day begins at 8:00am and runs until 6:00pm, and if you interested and willing there are opportunities to extend the evening for networking, socializing and potentially finding opportunities for collaboration. Each morning there are rows of coffee canisters because these academicians understand that coffee is an essential component to any morning discussion. As a coffee connoisseur and addict, I am sure to fill up my cup multiple times throughout the morning. Recently an article was published documenting the therapeutic value of regularly drinking coffee, so that makes coffee addiction acceptable right?
